Rebecca L. Caires, MBA, has close to 40 years of executive leadership experience in academic and community health care system positions focused on ambulatory and hospital operations, oncology administration, and research.
Ms. Caires is Vice President of Operations at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Her key focus is the Oncology service line under the umbrella of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.
Ms. Caires is also Faculty Director at Northwestern University's School of Professional Studies for the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MHA) Program.
Before relocating to Chicago in 2005, Ms. Caires worked at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida and was a founding employee. She also worked in community oncology programs in Tampa early in her career where she managed marketing and public relations, receiving multiple awards for innovative advertising and design campaigns and publications.
Ms. Caires has held volunteer positions with the American Cancer Society and Gilda's Club of Chicago. She is a recipient of the Administrative and Service Excellence Award from the Northwestern Medical Group and the Administrative Excellence Award from the Lurie Cancer Center.
Ms. Caires serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), as well as the Best Practices Committee.
Ms. Caires holds an MBA from Saint Leo University in Florida and a BA from National-Louis University in Illinois.
