Timothy Kubal, MD, MBA, is the Chair of Satellite Oncology and an Associate Professor of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Kubal earned his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina. He subsequently completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center while concurrently completing a Master’s of Business Administration at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Kubal's expertise is in myeloid malignancies, with a particular focus in acute leukemias. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kubal's roles and responsibilities include working to instill a patient-focused continuous improvement mindset across the organization.
Dr. Kubal holds memberships with the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles that have been published in prominent scientific publications, such as American Journal of Hematology, Journal of Oncology Practice, The American Journal of Medicine, and Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics.
Dr. Kubal is Co-Chair of the NCCN Best Practices Committee. He also serves as a member of the NCCN Committee Chair Advisory Group.
