This poster describes results of a survey where providers assessed four mock scenarios to determine whether patients met NCCN criteria for hereditary cancer genetic testing. We compared participant responses when they assessed the cases unaided without external resources (part 1) to their responses when using our automated web application (part 2). Overall, the web-based application improved response accuracy by 74%; that is, the application allowed providers to better determine when each patient's medical/family history is consistent with NCCN guidelines and warrants hereditary genetic testing.
Process-level interventions and evidence-based education were interwoven to mitigate disparities in the optimal management of multiple myeloma through pre-modeled and scalable QI-driven interventions and education.
