Following the Covid19 hard lockdown procedures in South Africa, rapid modifications to the standard treatment policies were required. One particular change to the Multidisciplinary Meeting procedure was to move the discussion onto a fully digital platform with a number of support structures to facilitate the new requirements while maintaining a lockdown.
Later review of these changes showed that participation from regional colleagues increased and the number of patients who were given support through regional facilities following the implementation of digital systems increased drastically.

Ever wanted to identify cohorts of oncology patients with a specific mutation at your institution? Rather than manually sift through piles of PDF reports, we describe our institution's experience with integrating structured genomic data into our electronic health record to make these queries more efficient. Through a combination of backloading prior reports as well as developing a pipeline to make next generation sequencing testing flow through the electronic health record similar to other labs, we have integrated over 17,000 genomic testing results into our system.
