Molecular Tumor Boards (MTBs) are multidisciplinary discussion forums based on molecular information that guides personalized diagnosis and therapeutic decision-making according to the patient's molecular profile. MTBs in Spain lack standard guidelines for their constitution and evaluation. Identifying key operational and organizational aspects for MTBs is crucial.
The committee assessed MTBs in Spain, identifying areas for improvement and compiling a report with recommendations. This report formed the basis for proposing the accreditation of MTB committees, with the aim of improving healthcare quality and outcomes for eligible MTB patients.
