Valencia D. Thomas, MD, MHCM, is Professor in the Department of Dermatology at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree from University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She earned a Master of Healthcare Management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She completed an internship at University of California San Diego. She completed a fellowship in dermatology clinical investigations at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a residency in dermatology at Harvard Medical School. She went on to complete a surgical dermatology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University, and a dermatopathology fellowship at University of Texas at Houston.
Dr. Thomas is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, an Associate in the American College of Mohs Surgery, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and the Harris County Medical Association.
Dr. Thomas is a member of the NCCN Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer Panel.
