Shawna L. Boyle, MD, is Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She practices at Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, focusing on urologic oncology.
Dr. Boyle earned her medical degree from the University of Calgary. She completed her internship at Memorial University of Newfoundland, followed by a urology residency at the University of Western Ontario. She subsequently completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the National Cancer Institute. She is board-certified in urology and holds fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and the American College of Surgery.
Dr. Boyle specializes in the treatment of genitourinary malignancies, including kidney, bladder, prostate, penis, and testicular cancers. She is the investigative lead for several research projects at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is active in numerous professional groups, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Society of Urologic Oncology, the American Urological Association, and the Canadian Urologic Association.
Dr. Boyle currently serves on the NCCN Kidney Cancer Panel.
