Saurin A. Chokshi, MD is the Section Chief of Clinical Practice and Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Chokshi leads as the Chief Medical Officer of the UTHSC Cancer Center Clinical Trial Protocol Office.

Dr. Chokshi is a medical oncologist with a sub-specialty focus on gastrointestinal malignancies. In addition to caring for patients, his research interests are in early- and late-phase cancer clinical trials.

Dr. Chokshi received his medical degree from University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed a hematology/medical oncology fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Chokshi serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Investigative Medicine and the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. He serves as a member of the NCCN Management of Immunotherapy-Related Toxicity Panel. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
