Patricia Jeppson, PharmD, BCOP, in a Clinical Pharmacist in the Outpatient Breast Clinic at Huntsman Cancer Hospital. She is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Utah College of Pharmacy.
Ms. Jeppson completed her education at Utah State University, and her Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Utah College of Pharmacy. She is a board-certified oncology pharmacist.
In her current role, Ms. Jeppson determines safety and appropriateness of chemotherapy and supportive care for clinic patients, and redesigns chemotherapy orders and monitoring plans based on organ function and patient response. She provides patient education on chemotherapy and supportive care issues. She developed institutional clinical pathways for ovarian suppression and the use of bone-modifying agents in breast cancer patients. She participates in medication-related quality improvement projects, serves as a preceptor to pharmacy students and practice residents, and provides educational in-services for physicians and oncology fellows.
