Natalie S. Callander, MD, is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She also serves as Director of the Myeloma Clinical Program, Leader of the Myeloma Disease-Oriented Team at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, and an Attending Physician at the William S. Middleton VA Medical Center.

Dr. Callander earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at NYU/Bellevue. She subsequently completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Callander's clinical interests include inpatient and outpatient care of hematology and bone marrow transplant patients and multiple myeloma. Her research in these areas has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including Blood, The Lancet, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and The Journal of Immunology. She also has served as the Principal Investigator (PI) or co-PI for several clinical trials.

Dr. Callander holds memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation, the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, and the International Myeloma Foundation. She also serves on the ECOG Myeloma Core Committee, and the Lymphoma Leukemia Society's Program Planning Committee. She is a past member of the NCI Myeloma Steering Committee. She is the current Chair of the CTN BTM Myeloma Inter Group Committee. Additionally, she has participated as an ad-hoc reviewer for scientific journals such as Blood, TCT, Nature Medicine, American Journal of Hematology, and British Medical Journal.

Dr. Callander is Vice-Chair of the NCCN Multiple Myeloma/Systemic Light Chain Amyloidosis/Waldenström's Macroglobulinemia Panel.
