Muhammad Saad Hamid, MD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and provides inpatient and outpatient oncologic care at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Hamid received his medical degree from Aga Khan Medical College in Pakistan. He completed his post-graduate training with an internal medicine residency at Wayne State University and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Dr. Hamid specializes in malignant hematology, particularly the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. His clinical research focuses on improving outcomes through collaborative multi-center studies, disparities outcome research, and improving the delivery of cancer care in the Delta Region.
Dr. Hamid is a member of several professional organizations, including the United States Cutaneous Lymphoma Consortium, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Society of Hematology (ASH). He is a past recipient of the ASH Abstract Achievement Award and an honoree of the ASH Medical Educator Institute. Dr. Hamid has presented his research in multiple national meetings and has won abstract achievement and travel awards.
Dr. Hamid is a member of the NCCN B-Cell Lymphomas Panel and the CLL/SLL/Hairy Cell Leukemia Panel.
