Michael J. Hall, MD, MS, is Chair of the Department of Clinical Genetics at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA. In addition, he is Professor in the Department of Clinical Genetics, Director of Gastrointestinal Risk Assessment, and Co-Leader of the Cancer Prevention and Control Program.
Dr. Hall’s research is focused on GI genetic risk and risk assessment. His primary syndrome of expertise and study is Lynch Syndrome, but he has also performed research among high-risk GI patients, patients with hereditary breast/ovarian cancer and BRCA1/2 mutations, hereditary pancreatic cancer, high-risk renal cell cancers, and a host of others.
Dr. Hall received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed his internal medicine residency at Harvard/Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and his fellowship in hematology/oncology at University of Chicago. Dr. Hall received master’s of science in health studies from University of Chicago Medical Center. He is board-certified in medical oncology.
Dr. Hall has been awarded several honors and awards during his career, most recently being named one of Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors and Best Doctors in America®. He is a member of the American Cancer Society, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Gastrointestinal Cancer (CGA-IGC).
Dr. Hall is a member of the NCCN Colorectal Cancer Screening Panel and the Genetic/Familial High-Risk Assessment: Colorectal Panel.
