Kendra L. Sweet MD, MS

Kendra L. Sweet, MD, MS, is an Assistant Member in the Department of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center and an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology Sciences at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine.
Dr. Kendra Sweet received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and her Master's of Science in clinical and translational research from USF. She subsequently completed a residency at the University of Arizona and a fellowship at USF. Dr. Sweet holds board-certifications in internal medicine and medical oncology and also is a registered dietitian.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Sweet specializes in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and myeloid malignancies, with a particular focus on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). She currently is the Principal Investigator for several ongoing clinical trials in AML.
Dr. Sweet is a member of several professional organizations, including the European Hematology Association, the European School of Hematology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Medical Association. She is a past-recipient of the Special Fellow in Clinical Research Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for her work in CML.
Dr. Sweet is a member of the NCCN Acute Myeloid Leukemia Panel and the NCCN Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
