Katrina S. Pedersen, MD, MS, is Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. She also holds several other positions, including Medical Oncology Program Director of the Young Onset Colorectal Cancer Program at Siteman Cancer Center, and U.S. Chair of the International Rare Cancer Initiative: Small Bowel Adenocarcinoma Committee.
Dr. Pedersen received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed both an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education.
Dr. Pedersen’s clinical and research interests include small bowel adenocarcinoma, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and biliary tract cancer. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Cancer Research, and the European Society for Medical Oncology. She also is a member of the Forum for Women in Medicine and the Academic Women’s Network at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Pedersen serves as a member of the NCCN Colon/Rectal/Anal/ Small Bowel Cancers Panel.
