Julie S. Mak MS, MSc, CGC

UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center

Julie Mak, CGC, MS, MSc, is a genetic counselor who works with patients investigating all types of hereditary cancers, with a special focus on gynecologic cancers. She is a supervisor at the UCSF Hereditary Cancer Clinic, an interdisciplinary clinic supporting individuals with inherited risk for breast, ovarian, and other cancers.

Ms. Mak completed her undergraduate studies at Stanford University, with a combined degree in biological science and German studies. She completed a master’s degree in neuroscience, with a focus on genetics, at Stanford. She earned a master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of Toronto. Ms. Mak is a board-certified genetic counselor.
