Jose M. Flores, MD, MHA, is a urologic surgeon specializing in male sexual and reproductive health at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC).

Dr. Flores received his medical degree from the University of Chile School of Medicine and his master’s degree in health administration from the University of the Andes. He completed residencies in surgery and urology at the University of Chile and completed three years of clinical fellowship training in urology at the University of Illinois and MSKCC.

Dr. Flores has nearly a decade of clinical experience as an attending urologist in his native country of Chile. In his current role at MSKCC, Dr. Flores cares for male patients with active cancer or a history of cancer. Dr. Flores also provides sexual and reproductive health care to men who do not have a cancer diagnosis. His goal is to improve his patients’ health and quality of life by using the most effective treatments available, tailored to their specific needs and priorities.

In collaboration with MSKCC’s sexual and reproductive medicine team, Dr. Flores

manages a variety of conditions. His clinical research focuses on erectile function recovery after radical pelvic surgery, testosterone therapy in men with prostate cancer, Peyronie’s disease and its psychological impact, sexual dysfunction and low testosterone, and fertility preservation. He also performs a variety of surgeries and is an expert in penile doppler ultrasound as a diagnostic tool for evaluating erectile dysfunction and intralesional injection therapy for men with Peyronie’s disease.
