Jessica Shelly, CRNP, APRN, is a practicing provider on the inpatient hematology team at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Ms. Shelly originally trained as a research biologist in pre-pharmaceutical development. After realizing her passion for caring for others, she them pursued a post-baccalaureate nursing degree from Ashland University. She has been a practicing nurse since 2009, with the majority of that time spent caring for hematology patients. She pursued a Masters of Nursing from University of Illinois, Chicago, where she graduated with honors in 2015.
Since graduating, Ms. Shelly has worked on the inpatient hematology team at Mayo Clinic on the cellular therapy, hospital-based outpatient care, leukemia and lymphoma inpatient services. She has a special interest in lymphoma and has been the inpatient lymphoma lead provider for the past six years. Additionally, she is the Assistant Program Director for the NP/PA hematology fellowship at Mayo Clinic. She has several case study and NP/PA education publications that reflect on her experiences in practice and educational achievements.
