Jennifer A. Woyach, MD, is Professor in the Division of Hematology in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. She is Associate Director for Clinical Research in the Division of Hematology and Section Head for the CLL/hairy cell leukemia group. She also serves as Co-Director of the Leukemia Research Program for the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Dr. Woyach earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. Afterwards, she remained at The Ohio State University to complete a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology and joined the faculty in 2012.

Dr. Woyach’s research interests include chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and other hematologic malignancies. Her laboratory research focuses on mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies in CLL and strategies to overcome therapeutic resistance. She is the PI for multiple early stage clinical trials investigating novel targeted therapies for CLL and other hematologic malignancies, and has led two Phase 3 studies through the NCTN.

Among her achievements, Dr. Woyach is a member of the American Society of Clinical Investigation, and a standing member of the International Workshop on CLL (iwCLL). Her work has been featured in several medical publications, including New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology, Blood and Cancer Discovery.
