Jame Abraham, MD, is Chairman of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Cleveland Clinic and Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.

Dr. Abraham earned his medical degree from Calicut Medical College, Kerala, India. He completed his residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute and a fellowship in hematology at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Abraham has more than 17 years of experience in treating complex breast cancer diagnoses, from early stage to metastatic, and leading novel clinical trials. He leads several local and national clinical trials to find better treatment options for patients with early stage, metastatic, triple negative and HER-2 positive breast cancer.

Dr. Abraham received the 2017 Teacher of the Year Award from Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute. He has also been selected by Cleveland Magazine and Newsweek as a top oncologist, locally and nationally.

Dr. Abraham is Vice Chair of the Research Strategy Committee, and is also a member of the Breast Committee Working Group, for NRG Oncology. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Research Review Committee for the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for NSABP.

Dr. Abraham is a member of the NCCN Breast Cancer Panel.
