Evan Wuthrick, MD, is a radiation oncologist, Associate Member, and Section Head for Cutaneous Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Wuthrick earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and did additional training at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Wuthrick specializes in radiation therapy for skin cancers such as melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma. His research interests include combination of high-dose per fraction radiation therapy and immunotherapy in melanoma and Merkel cell carcinoma, genomic-guided radiation sensitivity index tools, and adaptive radiation therapy. He is involved in numerous early-phase clinical trials exploring the role of immunotherapy drugs and MAPK pathway inhibitors with radiation therapy.
Dr. Wuthrick is the Co-Chair of the NRG Oncology Radiation Oncology Committee and holds other leadership roles in NRG Oncology and SWOG, which conduct multi-institutional, practice-changing clinical trials in cutaneous malignancies.
Dr. Wuthrick is a member of the NCCN Melanoma Panel.
