Erin R. Fox PharmD, MHA, BCPS

Erin R. Fox, PharmD, MHA, BCPS, is a board-certified pharmacist and Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer for Shared Services, University of Utah Health and Professor (Adjunct), at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy.

Erin serves as a media resource and advocate for changes to improve the ongoing drug shortage situation and rising drug costs. In December 2015, Erin testified for the Senate Aging Committee regarding the impact of sudden price increases on health systems. Erin is recognized as an expert in drug shortages and has received the ISMP Cheers Award and ASHP Award of Excellence and was honored with the William A. Zellmer Lecture Award and the Vizient Pharmacy Vision Award for her advocacy efforts.

Erin completed a Drug Information Specialty Residency after graduating from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy in 1999.

Erin leads the University of Utah Drug Information Service which provides content for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Most recently, Erin served on the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Committee on Security of America's Medical Product Supply Chain and testified about drug shortages for the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee in 2023.
