The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins

Donna Berizzi, DNP, RN, OCN, NEA-BC, is the Associate Chief Nursing Officer for the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins and for the Johns Hopkins Health System Cancer Service Line.

In her role, Dr. Berizzi oversees clinical care delivery for oncology and leads efforts to standardize and streamline processes, reduce variations in care, and improve overall efficiency and quality. Dr. Berizzi leads interprofessional groups with the goal of integrating oncology services across the Johns Hopkins Health System throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and Virginia.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Berizzi served as the Senior Director of Nursing for Oncology and Therapeutic Infusion Services at Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens. She has more than 35 years of nursing experience, primarily in critical care and oncology, and holds certification through ANCC and ONS.

Dr. Berizzi received her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Georgetown University. She received her master's degree in nursing administration from Benedictine University, and her Doctorate of Nursing practice in executive leadership from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

Dr. Berizzi serves as a member of the NCCN Best Practices Committee and NCCN Nursing Directors Forum.
