David J. Straus, MD, is a medical oncologist specializing in Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Straus has more than 40 years of experience in treating patients.

Dr. Straus’ extensive research has been focused on several types of lymphoma, with a particular interest in Hodgkin lymphoma. He has led several national clinical trials aimed at developing better treatments for these diseases. He has also focused on how to better address survivorship and quality-of-life issues for people living with lymphoma.

Dr. Straus received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed fellowships at Beth Israel Hospital/Peter Bent Brigham Hospital/Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Straus is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.
