David S. Craig, PharmD, is a Pharmacist Lead within the Department of Pharmacy at the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Florida and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee. He then completed a PGY-1 residency at Duke University Medical Center and PGY-2 specialty residency in Pain and Palliative Care at the Moffitt Cancer Center. In 2012, he completed the Mayday Pain and Society Fellowship, sponsored by the Mayday Fund. He also currently holds adjunct faculty positions within the University of South Florida and the University of Florida colleges of pharmacy.

David currently serves on the NCCN Adult Cancer Pain Guideline committee and is a current member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) opioid guideline workgroup. In the past, he has been a consultant to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and the World Health Organization. He currently holds several editorial board positions, and serves as a peer reviewer for various medical journals focused on opioid and non-opioid analgesics, and other non-pain related symptoms. His research interests include opioid pharmacology and pharmacogenetics, opioid antagonists, and other analgesic pharmacology. He is currently a co-investigator for a multi-site PCORI funded research study comparing primary palliative care versus specialty palliative care in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) at Moffitt Cancer Center.
