Dara L. Aisner, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the
University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Aisner earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern
Medical School at Dallas and her doctorate of philosophy from the University of Texas
Southwestern Graduate School. She completed her residency in anatomic pathology at
the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Aisner subsequently completed a fellowship in
surgical pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she also
completed fellowship training in molecular and genetic pathology.
Dr. Aisner is a member of several professional organizations, including the International
Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, and the Association for Molecular Pathology,
the College of American Pathologists and is the Co-Founder of the Genomics
Organization for Academic Laboratories. She serves on the editorial boards for JCO-PO and Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Aisner is a member of the NCCN Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer/Malignant Pleural
Mesothelioma/Thymomas and Thymic Carcinomas Panel.
