Danielle M. Bowers, MPA, PA-C is an Ambulatory Chief Physician Assistant at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and cares for patients at the DFCI Breast Oncology Center.

Ms. Bowers completed her education at Duquesne University. She completed a physician assistant (PA) post-graduate residency in adulty oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

In her current role, Ms. Bowers has developed the outpatient PA team from 10 PAs to a team of more than 50 PAs. She is involved in hiring, credentialing, onboarding, developing PA orientation, regulatory updates, drafting and maintaining PA policies, supporting the outpatient PA’s in their practice, professional development, and ongoing education. She represents the PA team on numerous institutional committees and initiatives, as well as on various national workgroups. In the DFCI Breast Oncology Center, she cares for patients across the cancer continuum from the newly diagnosed to long-term survivors.

Ms. Bowers is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Massachusetts Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA), and the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology (APAO).

Ms. Bowers serves on the NCCN Best Practices Advanced Practice Providers Workgroup.
