Cristina P. Rodriguez, MD, is a physician and Member at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and a Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Rodriguez received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines. She completed her internal medicine residency and hematology and oncology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Rodriguez researches and treats cancers of the head and neck. She leads clinical trials that explore how to incorporate targeted therapies into current treatment standards. She has a particular interest in improving outcomes for squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck, salivary gland cancers, and thyroid cancers that no longer respond to radioactive iodine therapy. She also explores ways to reduce racial and economic disparities for these cancers, many of which involve modifiable risk factors such as smoking, alcohol, and human papillomavirus infections.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Rodriguez works as part of a multidisciplinary care team and is committed to maximizing the success of cancer treatment while sustaining her patients' quality of life. Her role includes outlining treatment options using the best available evidence and technology and helping to guide decision-making based on patients' goals and values.

Dr. Rodriguez is a member of the NCCN Head and Neck Cancers Panel.
