Carey Ramirez ANP-C, ACHPN

Carey Ramirez, ANP-C, ACHPN, is the Manager, Advanced Practice within the Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center. He graduated from New York University with a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult and Palliative Nurse Practitioner and went on to complete a Pain & Palliative Care Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Then, he started a Palliative Medicine service at Medical Center of the Rockies, a UCHealth trauma and cardiovascular surgery center in Loveland, CO where he also sat on the Ethics Committee. He has co-authored four publications, the most recent of which is entitled, “Nature: A Post Pandemic Prescription” which appeared in the October 2022 issue of Nurse Leader. He is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Health Systems Leadership at the University of Colorado.

Carey’s goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of people as an advocate, and he has earned numerous honors including the Daisy Award and Guardian Angel Award (each 3 times), the Recognizing You Award, and Advanced Practice Provider of the Year Award at City of Hope.
