Bijal Shah, MD, holds several positions within the Lymphoma Section of Moffitt Cancer Center, including Clinical Leader for Mantle Cell Lymphoma, Clinical Leader for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and Co-Director of Translational Research Initiatives. He also serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Duke University and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr. Shah’s primary clinical interest is non-Hodgkin lymphomas, with a focus on mantle cell lymphoma and acute lymphoblastic leukemia. As an internist and pediatrician, Dr. Shah has a special interest in hematologic malignancies in adolescents and young adults. Dr. Shah is actively involved in a number of ongoing preclinical, clinical, and translational clinical trials in these areas.

Dr. Shah holds memberships with the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He also serves on the Lymphoma and Adolescent and Young Adult Subcommittees for the Southwest Oncology Group and the Outreach Subcommittee for ASH.

Dr. Shah is Chair of the NCCN Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Panel and serves on the NCCN CAR T-cell Therapy Task Force. He also is a member of the NCCN Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Panel.
