Apar Kishor Ganti, MD, MS, is Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology/Hematology, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is the Associate Director of Clinical Research at the UNMC Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
Dr. Ganti received his medical degree from the University of Pune, in India and served a residency in Clinical Pharmacology at B.J. Medical College, University of Pune. He served his internship and residency at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Fargo, ND, and served an Oncology/Hematology Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Ganti joined the faculty of the Division of Oncology/Hematology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in December of 2005.
Dr. Ganti's research interests are focused on the development of novel treatment approaches for patients who are not candidates for standard therapies. His laboratory is focused on identifying novel prognostic and predictive biomarkers for these malignancies.
Dr. Ganti is Chair of the NCCN Small Cell Lung Cancer Panel and a member of the NCCN Neuroendocrine Tumors Panel. He is a member of the JNCCN Editorial Board and Guidelines Steering Committee. He is also involved in the NCCN Oncology Research Program, and the NCCN YIA Proposal Review Committee.
