Annette P. Hood PharmD

Annette Hood, PharmD, BCACP, is a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in women's oncology at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven in Connecticut.

Dr. Hood graduated from the University of Connecticut with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completed a post-graduate pharmacy practice residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She is board-certified in ambulatory care.

In the women's oncology infusion clinic, Dr. Hood verifies chemotherapy orders, counsels patients about their treatment, and serves as a medication therapy expert for the entire medical team. She also works with the Smilow Integrative Medicine team, where her role is to screen supplements and vitamins for safety or potential interactions with chemotherapy. She is an active member of the Connecticut Pharmacists Association.
