Andrew M. Brunner, MD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a practicing hematologist in the Leukemia and Cancer Risk Assessment Programs at Mass General Cancer Center.
Dr. Brunner received his medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He completed a residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and completed fellowships at MGH/Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He is board-certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in medical oncology.
Dr. Brunner specializes in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). His clinical and research interests focus on understanding treatment patterns and patient outcomes in MDS, acute myeloid leukemia, and other advanced cancers of the blood and bone marrow. He is involved in clinical trials for all stages of MDS, with an overall goal of developing new treatments and individualizing therapies to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Brunner is a member of the NCCN Myelodysplastic Syndromes Panel.
